At the start of the academic year, Hog Roast Wherwell was contacted by a school in Andover to provide catering at their upcoming open evening. The event is taking place this November and will be an important opportunity for parents and prospective students to take a look around. During the event, the school will be showcasing all kinds of things, including the numerous extracurriculars and the great academic opportunities. Additionally, Hog Roast Wherwell will be serving a classic hog roast for the occasion, complete with a variety of tasty side dishes. This menu will be a great addition to the event, a great way to break up the evening and provide something else for visitors to enjoy.
In preparation for this event, Kyle and the Hog Roast Wherwell team will arrive at the venue in the afternoon, giving us lots of time to prepare for the 5:00pm serving time. We will begin by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook to perfection on-site. Additionally, we will be preparing BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious option for meat-free guests. The main dishes will be served in fresh bread rolls or gluten-free rolls, alongside homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, and a selection of seasonal salad dishes. This menu is sure to create a hearty and varied evening meal, with plenty for everyone to enjoy. We are sure that our menu will go down a treat and the Hog Roast Wherwell is grateful to have been hired for such an important occasion.
